 Construction: Often hand-carved from a solid block of stone, ensuring a unique piece with slight variations in color and veining.

II. Design and Structure
The unit is composed of two main functional parts:

The Back Panel/Fountain Face:

This is the vertical piece that mounts flush against the wall.

 Features: It may be plain, but often includes intricate carvings (e.g., a lion's head, a classical figure, floral motifs, geometric patterns, or a simple textured/grooved surface) from which the water emerges.
 

Styles: Designs range from Classical (ornate, architectural elements) to Contemporary/Minimalist (clean lines, geometric shapes).

The Basin/Trough:

This is the large, open bowl or trough fixed directly below the water spout.

Function: It serves as the reservoir for the recirculating water and/or the wash basin area.

Shape: Common shapes include semi-circular, rectangular, or a deep, shell-shaped scollop.

Drainage: It typically includes a drain (which may be visible or concealed) to allow water to either recirculate back to the pump or drain away (if plumbed as a functional wash basin).

III. Water Flow and Operation

Water Spout: Water issues from a decorative element (like a spout, nozzle, or carved feature) on the back panel.

Water Flow: The water typically flows smoothly, cascading or sheeting down the marble back panel (if present) before collecting in the basin below.
 

Mechanism: It operates using an internal, recirculating electric pump that draws water from the basin reservoir and pushes it back up to the spout, creating a continuous, soothing flow.

Ambiance: The gentle, rhythmic sound of the flowing water creates a peaceful and therapeutic ambiance.

�� Makrana White Marble Masjid Mehrab (Short Summary)

The Masjid Mehrab crafted from Makrana White Marble is the sublime, spiritual focal point of a mosque. Makrana marble is chosen for its unrivaled purity—a pristine, snowy white that resists yellowing due to its minimal iron content.

The Mehrab's design centers on a deep arched niche framed by panels of exquisite craftsmanship. The hard, dense marble allows for intricate hand-carving (Naqqashi), featuring delicate floral and complex geometric motifs that symbolize the infinite nature of creation.

The surface often showcases calligraphy of sacred verses in elegant scripts like Thuluth. For added richness, the brilliant white is sometimes contrasted with Pietra Dura inlay (Parchin Kari), where semi-precious stones are meticulously set into the marble to define colors in the geometric patterns.

The Craftsmanship

• The Base: Rajnagar White is a popular choice because it is durable and cost-effective. While it has more visible grey veins (grains) compared to pure Makrana marble, these patterns add a unique, organic character to the background of the artwork.

• The Process: Artisans meticulously chisel deep grooves into the marble surface using hand tools.

• The Inlay: Precisely cut slices of semi-precious stones—such as Lapis Lazuli (blue), Malachite (green), Cornelian (orange), and Mother of Pearl—are shaped and fitted into these grooves.

• The Finish: The stones are bonded with a special glue and then the entire surface is polished until the joint between the stone and the marble becomes seamless to the touch.

Key Characteristics

Note: Because Rajnagar marble is slightly more porous than Makrana marble, it is often sealed after the inlay process to protect its shine and prevent staining.

The Palki Sahib is a majestic, hand-carved structure honoring the Guru Granth Sahib.

It is crafted from Rajnagar White Marble, which is known for its pure, milky-white color (often with very subtle, light grey veins), high polish, and exceptional durability, making it ideal for intricate, long-lasting carvings.

The Palki features a large, elevated base (Chowki) and four strong pillars supporting an ornate, often domed, Canopy (Chandoa). The entire structure is decorated with fine, detailed floral, geometric, or jali (lattice) patterns, radiating purity, luxury, and spiritual reverence due to the marble's luminous white finish.
